Terms of Service

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Better Accountant ("the Service"), operated by Cynco Sdn. Bhd. (Registration No. 1588139-X). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

The Service

Better Accountant is an AI-assisted accounting workbench that helps accounting firms collect client documents, extract accounting data, review results, and prepare workpapers. The Service is a tool to assist qualified professionals — it does not replace professional judgement, and all outputs should be reviewed before use.

Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent

Your data

You retain all rights to the data you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to process, store, and display your data solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data and will not use your client documents to train AI models.

AI outputs

The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist with document extraction, transaction classification, and workpaper preparation. AI outputs may contain errors. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all outputs before relying on them for any professional, regulatory, or filing purpose.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by Cynco Sdn. Bhd. and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or proprietary technology beyond what is necessary to use the Service.

Payment and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You agree to pay all fees associated with your chosen plan. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Failure to pay may result in suspension of your account.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cynco Sdn. Bhd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate or complete.

Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may close your account through the Service settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you may request export of your data within 30 days, after which we may delete it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
